Frequently Asked Questions

What if I am not sure whether this is the right type of support?

The Introductory Call can help you get clarity on whether to proceed with a School Insight Session.

What happens during the Introductory Call?

We'll talk through your concerns, what you're hearing from the school, and what feels unclear. We will decide if a School Insight Session is right for your family.

Do I have to continue after the School Insight Session?

No. Many families find one session provides enough clarity to move forward independently. Follow-up support is available if questions arise later.

Is this tutoring?

No. I do not provide academic instruction or homework help. I help parents better understand the elementary school system.

Is this therapy or counseling?

No. This service does not provide mental health treatment or diagnosis. The focus is on helping you navigate school-related questions and understand how elementary systems typically operate.

Do you work directly with children?

No. Sessions are parent-focused.

What ages or grade levels do you support?

Support is focused on elementary school students (Kindergarten through 5th grade).

What kinds of concerns do parents typically bring?

Common topics include understanding teacher feedback, academic progress concerns, classroom expectations, communication challenges, and questions about school-based support services.

How often do families schedule follow-up sessions?

This varies. Some families schedule one or two follow-up sessions during the school year, while others check in around key moments like the start of school, conferences, or new concerns.

Do I need to prepare anything for the call?

No preparation is required.

If you have specific emails or school communications you want help understanding, it is helpful to have them available.
